Sydney Mines Woman Charged with Second Degree Murder

Regional Police say a Sydney Mines woman has been charged in the death of a 28-year-old woman after she was hit by a car.

36-year-old Kimberly Ann O’Dea has been charged with second degree murder and criminal negligence causing death.

Police say the incident happened on Friday morning at around 7:00.

The 28-year-old was airlifted to Halifax with serious injuries where she later died.

Police go on to say the women knew each other.

O’Dea has been remanded to the Correctional Centre and will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow.
