Sydney man to remain in custody on weapons charges

A 35-year-old Sydney man facing a number of weapons charges will remain in custody until his next scheduled court appearance.

Brent Michael MacSween is charged with multiple weapons offences, including possession of a shotgun while prohibited, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

MacSween also faces two counts of breaching court orders.

Police say they found a sawed-off shot gun and several rounds of ammunition when they searched MacSween’s Kitchener Street home on November 4.

He’s due in court on December 6 for an election and plea hearing.
