Sydney Man Arrested on Drug and Breach Charges

Regional Police say an investigation with the RCMP led to the arrest of a 49-year-old Sydney man.

The man was charged with four counts of breaching a recognizance, two counts of possession of stolen property, possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone, possession of an unauthorized weapon and breaching a court order.

Police say they arrested the man at his home on Ingoville Street in Sydney.

They seized hydromorphone pills, pepper spray, stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

The man has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre and will appear in Sydney provincial court tomorrow.
