Regional Police have a 41-year-old Sydney man in custody after they say his vehicle hit a traffic control person at a road construction site.   Police say they got the call to the corner of Sidella Dr. and Reeves Street in Sydney at around 4:20, yesterday afternoon.   They add the area is undergoing major road construction, and the driver was instructed to stop by the traffic control person.   Police say he ignored the instructions and instead accelerated his vehicle, hitting the worker who was taken to the Regional Hospital with minor injuries.   Police say they were able to track down the vehicle a short distance away after getting the license plate number from witnesses.   They add the driver was arrested without incident and charges are pending.
