The George Street office is one of two in Atlantic Canada closing in the near future. The other office closure is in Moncton.
CTV Atlantic will still have journalists in Cape Breton, and the transmitter will remain in operation.
No date has been confirmed for the closure, and the fate of the building itself is unknown.
The building was home to two longstanding programs, including the local edition of Christmas Daddies.
