Sydney Company Wins Provincial Competition

A Sydney-based company has taken top prize in a provincial business competition.

Heimdall Networks was named overall winner of Innovacorp’s I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition during an awards gala last night in Halifax.

Heimdall specializes in developing software that protects websites and networks of large companies and governments.

The company has been awarded a total of 225-thousand dollars in cash and business building services.

 Heimdall founder Jim DeLeskie says winning the award is great validation for what they’re doing.

His company now employs 12 people.
