Sydney and Ingonish set daily high temperature records yesterday.

The temperature recorded at the Sydney McCurdy Airport hit 23 degrees Celsius, yesterday.

The old record for that date was 21.7 degrees set in 1975.

The Environment Canada weather station in Ingonish Beach recorded a high of 23.9 degrees, yesterday.

The old high temperature for that date was 21.4 degrees in 2013.
