Suspicious Death Victim Identified Through Her Obituary

A 22 year-old Waycobah woman whose death police say is suspicious has been identified through her obituary.

RCMP say the body of Cassidy Jean Bernard was discovered in a home on the First Nation next to Whycocomagh on October 24th.

Police say two infants also found in the home were unharmed and are now being cared for by family members.

Sources have identified the infants as Bernard’s six-month-old twins.

RCMP have not said how Bernard died but they do say her death was not a random act.
