Streets In Sydney Closed Because Of Flooding

The Regional Municipality says Townsend Street, Cabot Street, and Royal Avenue in Sydney are closed this morning because of flooding.

It says Transit Cape Breton Route 8 serving Whitney Pier and Route 11 serving Ashby are being diverted.

The bridge on Bentinck street is also closed and Route 10 serving Alexandra Street to King’s Road is also being diverted.

Meanwhile, the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education says school buses are travelling on paved roads only, today.
