Stabbing Accused Released On Bail

A 61-year-old man was released on bail today after another man was stabbed in North Sydney last week.

Thomas Joseph Chisholm faces counts of Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and 3 Breaches of conditions.

Police say they got called to a William Street apartment at around 9:00 on Wednesday night.

They say a 65-year-old man was taken to the Regional Hospital in Sydney for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening wounds.

Police say Chisholm knows the man he’s accused of attacking.

He’s due back in court for a plea hearing on September 10^th.
