Stabbing Accused Due in Court, Today

A 27 year old Sydney woman is due in court today after a stabbing in Whitney Pier, late last week.

Brandi Shannon Campbell faces charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

Regional police were called to a home on Henry St in Whitney Pier at around 8:00 on Thursday night.

Police say they found the stabbing victim at a nearby home.

They add he was taken to the Regional Hospital with multiple non-life threatening stab wounds.

Campbell has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Facility and is due in court today to enter a plea on the charges.
