Stabbing Accused Arrested

Regional Police say they’ve arrested a man wanted in a recent stabbing in Sydney.

22-year-old Christian Michael Lewis faces counts of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and theft of a motor vehicle.

Police say Lewis was arrested on Charlotte Street at about 3 o’clock this afternoon.

Police say they got the call to Liberty Street at around 7:30 on Saturday night, where a 29 year-old man was sent to the Regional Hospital in serious condition with multiple stab wounds.

However, police say they believe the stabbing happened on Dorchester Street.
