A 100-year-old church will reopen today, June 26, after it was burned a year-and-a-half ago.

St. Mary’s Polish Church in Whitney Pier will reopen to the community for an open house today.

Despite some cosmetic changes to the building, the church is still a heritage destination as deemed by the provincial government.

The open house runs from 2-4:00 p.m. today.

The official mass of consecration takes place on July 3 at 2:00 p.m.
