Speech From The Throne, Today

MLA’s return to the Legislature today, for the start of the 63^rd general assembly.

Newly appointed Lieutenant Governor Arthur Leblanc will deliver a speech from the throne shortly after 1:00, this afternoon.

The Liberals are heading back to Province House with a reduced majority of 27 seats after the May provincial election.

The Progressive Conservatives have 17 seats and the NDP have seven.

Meanwhile, provincial Finance Minister Karen Casey will deliver the budget on Tuesday.

The Liberals are expected to present pretty much the same fiscal blueprint they tabled before the election.
