The manager of the Cape Breton branch of the SPCA has quit. Provincial SPCA executive Director Elizabeth Murphy says Jeff Dursi submitted his resignation effective October 1st, citing personal reasons. Dursi was hired in February of 2013. Murphy says the branch’s bylaw enforcement supervisor, Monty Crawley from Whitney Pier will serve as the interim branch manager. She adds the search for a new manager won’t happen right away because the Cape Breton branch is about to begin building a 181-thousand dollar spay and neuter clinic.
