Some Court House Services Being Temporarily Relocated

Some services offered at the Sydney Courthouse are being temporarily moved to a nearby building while repair work is done after flooding at the courthouse earlier this year.

The Nova Scotia Judiciary says until further notice some support staff and front counter services for the Supreme Court and the Small Claims Court will be on the 2nd floor of the building at 164 Charlotte Street.

Front counter services for the Sydney Provincial Court will still be on the 4th Floor at the courthouse.

The judiciary says proceedings for all levels of court will continue to be held in the available rooms in the courthouse but there may be cases where in-person civil or family proceedings in the Supreme Court will need to be held off-site.
