Tax bills are starting to arrive by mail for ratepayers in the CBRM.
Municipal spokesperson Jenna MacQueen says the bills were sent by mail before the strike at Canada Post.
MacQueen says it’s possible not everyone will get a tax bill in the mail before the deadline to pay it because postal workers are still on a rotating strike.
She says the due date of November 4th to pay tax bills remains in effect, even if people don’t get a bill in the mail by that time.
MacQueen says people can check their tax bill balance by calling 311 or by using a look-up tool the CBRM recently made available through a link on its website.
