Social media accounts encouraging schoolyard fights in Cape Breton schools

The Cape Breton Victoria-Regional Centre for Education says they’re taking action after learning about an Instagram account promoting fighting at Cape Breton schools.
The social media account cape_bretonfights has posted videos of schoolyard fights at Sydney Academy and Whitney Pier Memorial, among others.
The site also encourages kids to post videos of fights they see at their school.
Spokesperson Michelle MacLeod says they’ve reported the account to the Cape Breton Regional Police Service, and to Instagram.
Regional Police are asking anyone who sees similar videos or social media accounts to give them or Crime Stoppers a call.
