Six new cases of COVID-19 today, two on Cape Breton Island

Nova Scotia is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 today, including two in the Inverness, Victoria, and Richmond County Community Health Network.

Both of those cases are related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada, and are self-isolating as required.

The other four cases are in the Central Zone; three are close contacts of a previously reported case, and one is travel-related.

Two more people have recovered, bringing the number of known, active cases in Nova Scotia to 21.

Since the pandemic began, 1,688 Nova Scotians have tested positive for COVID-19; 56 in the Regional Municipality.

One thousand six hundred and one people in the province have recovered from the infection.
