Sentencing Hearing For Former Firefighter, Today

A sentencing hearing is due to take place today for a former member of the Florence Volunteer Fire Department who pleaded guilty to counts of arson.

 52 year-old Stephen Eric Tremblett from North Sydney entered guilty pleas to five counts of arson in November.

Meanwhile, a preliminary hearing for another former member of the Florence Fire Department is also due to take place, today.

32 year-old Gary Richard Luker from Florence faces two counts of arson involving property damage.

A sentencing hearing for a third former Florence Fire Department member is due to take place next Thursday.

25 year-old James Clayton MacDonald from North Sydney pleaded guilty to 14 counts of arson in November.

 The three were charged after a string of arson fires on the Northside in the spring and summer of 2016.
