Sentencing For Former Firefighter Who Pleaded Guilty To Arson

A former member of the Florence Volunteer Fire Department is due to be sentenced today after pleading guilty to charges of arson.

52 year-old Stephen Eric Tremblett from North Sydney entered guilty pleas to five counts of arson in November.

He’s one of three former members of the Florence Fire Department who were charged after a string of arson fires on the Northside in the spring and summer of 2016.

James Clayton MacDonald from North Sydney was sentenced last month to four years in prison after pleading guilty to 14 counts of arson.

Gary Richard Luker, from Florence, has pleaded guilty to a single count of mischief over 5,000 dollars in the case.

He’s due to be sentenced later this month.
