Second Day Today Of Whalley Constructive Dismissal Hearing

Former economic development manager John Whalley is due to continue testifying today in his constructive dismissal suit against the Regional Municipality.

The 56-year-old resigned from the post in May of 2015.

He says he quit after he was removed from a file overseeing Sydney port development and moved to a project with no council approval and no budget.

On day one of the hearing yesterday, former CAO Jerry Ryan testified newly elected Mayor Cecil Clarke told him in 2012 it would be difficult for the new council to work with Ryan or Whalley.

Five days have been set aside for the hearing.
