Man Arrested After North Sydney Home Seriously Damaged By Front End Loader

Regional Police say they have a 51-year-old Sydney man in custody after a front end loader clipped a power pole before causing serious damage to a house on Seaview Drive in North Sydney.

Police say they got called about the machine trying to demolish a home at around 5:00 this morning.

They say officers found the machine traveling on Seaview Drive near the Northern Yacht Club.

They say the driver did not stop and officers continued following the machine to King Street where it crashed through the front of the liquor store.

That’s when officers arrested a man.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.

They also say the driver of the loader and owner of the damaged home know each other.

Police say charges are pending.
