by The search for a missing 82-year-old man in the Mira Gut area has been suspended.
He was first reported missing on Thursday and his 2003 Pontiac was found in the Bob’s Lane area of Mira Gut late Friday.
An extensive search by land, air and water has failed to turn up any clues to his whereabouts.
Cape Breton Regional Police spokesperson says investigators are following up on information today and the search will resume if deemed necessary.
The man’s name and home community have not been released at the request of his family but police say he is from the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.
