Search Continues For Perry MacKinnon In Meat Cove

The RCMP says they’re continuing the search for Perry MacKinnon in Meat Cove today using a significant number of resources, including a helicopter and airplane.

The Mounties say there’s concern for MacKinnon’s safety because of the cold weather.

MacKinnon ran into the woods with a gun when officers arrived to arrest him on Monday.

He’s facing several weapons charges and RCMP have been asking people in the area to stay in their homes with the doors locked.

However, today they’re asking people to minimize their time outside and stay in their homes as much as possible.
