Students in the Sydney area will be going back to school on Thursday.
The Sydney and Sydney River family of schools had been scheduled to continue with online learning when other schools in the Regional Municipality open to in-person learning on Wednesday.
However, Premier Iain Rankin announced today it’s safe for all schools to re-open now that cases are starting to go down in the Sydney and Halifax areas.
Health officials also say it’s safe for people to start travelling outside their municipality and they’ll be allowed to do so starting tomorrow.
But people are being reminded they need to keep distancing, wearing masks and following all of the other public health rules in order to make sure case numbers don’t spike again.
