Schools and Marconi Campus Closed Again, Today

The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board has cancelled classes at all schools again, today because of stormy weather.

 

However, Board offices are due to open at 11:00, this morning.

 

The Marconi Campus of the Community College and Etoile de l’Acadie in Sydney also closed today.

 

Cape Breton University is closed this morning and says it will announce the status of afternoon classes at 11:30.

 

Roads in the Regional Municipality are described as snow covered and passable with caution this morning with reduced visibility in blowing snow.

 

The Englishtown ferry remains out of service because of drift ice in St. Ann’s Channel.

 

And, Marine Atlantic has now delayed crossings from North Sydney until 11:45 tonight, weather permitting.
