Roadwork In Sydney And New Waterford, Today

The Regional Municipality says a detour will be in place for the day today while the railway crossing on Townsend Street in Sydney is repaired.

The detour will take drivers along Inglis, Brookland and Hugh Streets.

And, Transit Cape Breton Route 8 will also detour along Inglis Street.

Meanwhile, repaving work is starting today on Gibbon Street in New Waterford, from Wilson Avenue to Ross Avenue.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays or detours during the two to three-week project.
