Road Tests To Resume

The Registry of Motor Vehicles is starting to rebook road tests for new drivers.

The province says about 4,000 cancelled appointments are being rebooked before new road tests can be scheduled.

People who booked appointments that were cancelled because of COVID-19 restrictions will be rebooked first and will be getting a phone call from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Testing will involve a number of COVID-19 precautions, including wearing masks and disinfecting surfaces inside vehicles before tests.

The province says it expects to be able to start booking new road test appointments by early August.
