Road Construction Delays At Kenwood Drive And Detour On The Esplanade In Sydney, Today

The Regional Municipality says construction projects on the provincial section of King’s Road at Kenwood Drive and work at the Community College site on the Esplanade in Sydney are expected to cause traffic delays today.

It says King’s Road will be down to one lane at Kenwood Drive with the work starting at 7:30, this morning.

And there’s going to be a detour on the Esplanade at Townsend Street to go around the pedway area of the Community College construction site.

The municipality says people looking to take a Transit Cape Breton bus between Sydney and Sydney River should take Route 12 and expect significant delays.

It says Route 5 will not operate on King’s Road and the Esplanade while the road work is taking place but will stop at the Keltic Plaza in Sydney River as scheduled.
