Results Released Of Public Voting In Healthcare Improvement Challenge

The province has released the results of public voting in its Healthcare Improvement Challenge.

The contest launched in October and got more than 2,200 submissions from healthcare workers.

Their ideas were narrowed down to a shortlist of 20 that were voted on by the public to determine the top 10.

The government says more technology, better communication and new ways of working are among the top ideas selected by Nova Scotians.

It says the top 10 ideas are now priorities and it will work with health-system partners to bring them about, where feasible.

The public voting saw 20,392 votes from 8,722 people.
