The Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia is calling for all restaurants and bars in Halifax to close to dine-in customers for at least the next two weeks.

The move comes with a growing number of COVID-19 case numbers in the area.

The association’s board of directors unanimously made the recommendation at an emergency meeting, last night.

Meanwhile, Premier Stephen McNeil and chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 3:00 this afternoon.

It’s not known if they’ll address the recommendation at the briefing.
