Regular Operations at Health Authority Resume, Today

The provincial Health Authority says regular operations will resume today at its facilities in Cape Breton County.

That includes the Cape Breton Cancer Treatment Centre, walk-in lab collection, X-ray and diagnostic imaging as well as scheduled surgeries.

Health Authority facilities in Sydney, North Sydney, Sydney Mines, Glace Bay and New Waterford were on emergency services only status yesterday in the wake of Monday’s storm.

The Health Authority is also warning there could be longer waits for blood collection, today.

People who can wait a day or two for blood collection are being asked to do so, if possible.
