Regional Police Say Halloween Was Quiet

Regional Police are reporting a fairly quite Halloween weekend.

However, Staff Sergeant Ken O’Neill says young people involved in a two-vehicle crash in Little Pond near Florence on Friday night were lucky to walk away with only minor injuries.

O’Neill adds four people between the ages of 16 and 20 were involved in the crash that happened at around 8:00 on Little Pond Road.

O’Neill says police believe one vehicle may have tried to pass the other, hit the gravel shoulder and went off the road.

He goes on to say there’s no indication that alcohol was a factor in the crash but speed may have contributing factor.

The crash remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, O’Neill says even with Halloween falling on a weekend, police answered a routine number of calls on both Saturday and Friday.
