Regional Police Officer Charged With Domestic Assault Due In Court

A Cape Breton Regional Police Officer charged with domestic assault is due back in court, today.

34 year-old Constable Kristopher Karl Planetta faces two counts of domestic assault.

The charges date back to October of this year and February of last year.

Both charges involve a 33 year-old woman.

The province’s police watchdog says Planetta was arrested after a preliminary investigation by Regional Police in October.
