Regional Council Meets This Morning

Regional Councillors will deal with name changes and new names at this morning’s video/teleconference meeting.

Councillors will be presented with a list of possible new names for Cornwallis Street in Sydney.

The municipality is renaming the street after a protest over the current name after controversial British General Edward Cornwallis.

Councillors will also discuss a resolution to rename the Bayplex as The Miners Forum.

And councillors will also deal with a resolution to name the second berth in Sydney Harbour Liberty Pier in honour of veterans who served in the Second World War.

This morning’s meeting is due to start at 9:00.
