Regional Council Meets This Afternoon

Regional Councillors gather at City Hall in Sydney this afternoon for their general committee meeting.

On the agenda is a presentation from United Way of Cape Breton executive director Lynne McCarron on WeavEast.

The regional group is designed to connect people and organizations working at making positive social changes in Atlantic Canada.

And Council will also discuss a potential by-law dealing with weekly advertising flyers.

The matter is being brought to Council by Councillor Earlene MacMullin.

This afternoon’s meeting starts at 1:30.
