Regional Council Approves Shooting Range For Leitche’s Creek

Regional Council voted 12-1 at last night’s Council meeting to approve a shooting range for Upper Leitche’s Creek.

The Metro Rifle and Pistol Club plans to set up the shooting range on Upper Leitche’s Creek Road.

A public hearing on the project had to been done with e-mail and voicemail submissions because of COVID-19.

Most the submissions support the shooting range but some people who live in the area are against it.

Councillor Cyril MacDonald voted against the project because he says seven of the eight homes near the shooting range are against it.
