by Thousands of people will gather in Fredericton this afternoon for the regimental funeral for the two police officers killed in the shooting in the city a week ago.
Police and first responders from across the country will be at the service for constables Sara Burns and Robb Costello.
The pair was gunned down during a shooting at a north end Fredericton apartment complex that also claimed the lives of Bobbie Lee Wright and Donnie Robichaud.
A funeral service has already taken place for Wright and Robichaud’s widow says he requested no wake or funeral.
The regimental funeral is due to get underway at 1:00 this afternoon at Aitken University Centre.
Cape Breton Regional Police have sent at least ten officers to the funeral.
