RCMP Officer Facing Indecent Exposure Charge

A Cape Breton RCMP officer has been charged with indecent exposure after an investigation by the province’s police watchdog.

The Serious Incident Response Team says it got a report from the RCMP in December about an accusation against Constable Justin Sanford with the Eskasoni Detachment.

The indecent exposure charge dates back to 2021 and was filed against Sanford yesterday.

34-year-old Sanford has been suspended from duty since December.

He’s due in Sydney Court on April 28th.
