RCMP Looking For Tips After 125 Hit & Run

RCMP are looking for tips from the public after a hit and run on the 125 Sydney Bypass in Sydney River, last week.

The Mounties say they got called to a crash at Exit 6W for Sydney River at around 6:30 last Tuesday evening.

Police say a red Mazda CX-5 was travelling westbound and moved to the exit lane when another vehicle, also travelling westbound, merged into the exit lane and the two vehicles collided.

The Mazda then hit a snowbank and went over the guardrails and down a hill.

Police say the driver who was the only person in the vehicle didn’t report injuries.

They say the driver of the other vehicle, that’s possibly a silver or grey car, didn’t stop and is believed to have exited the 125 into Sydney River.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen the collision or who has dashcam video and has not yet spoken with police to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
