RCMP Looking At Possible Charges After Cannabis Edible Was Served At Eskasoni School

RCMP say they’re working to determine whether a cannabis edible was served on purpose or accidentally to students at an Eskasoni school on Friday.

Police say they believe a molasses cake served at Eskasoni Immersion School contained THC, the component in cannabis that makes people high.

A number of adults and children needed medical treatment after getting sick.

Police say some tested positive for THC and they’re asking anyone else who got sick to contact them.

They say a couple of charges could apply to the catering company that supplied the cake.
