RCMP Investigating Suspended Officers

Regional Police say three suspended officers are now the subject of a criminal investigation by the RCMP.

Neither the force nor the union representing officers have said why the three have been suspended with pay.

The Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union does say the suspended officers are Jerome Kelly, Roberta Kelly and Greg Livingstone.

Jerome Kelly is president of the police union local while Livingstone is vice-president.

Police say no charges have been laid against any of the three as of yet.

There are reports the suspension may be related to the ongoing trial of another suspended Regional Police officer, Const. Wade Lavin.

Lavin is accused of impersonating a staff sergeant, and testimony at his trial wrapped up on Thursday.
