Rankin Says Talks Continue On More Help For Businesses

Premier Iain Rankin says discussions will continue with the tourism sector and other industries hit hard by the COVID-19 lockdown but not he’s not yet committing to any specific new measures to help them.

He notes the Minister responsible for Tourism Nova Scotia, Labi Kousoulis, met with people in the hotel industry as recently as yesterday.

Rankin told reporters today he’s willing to listen to suggestions from businesses on how the province can help them.

The comments come as New Brunswick offers rebates of up to 20% on some costs for other Atlantic Canadian travelers once that province’s border opens up.
