Rankin Announces Lifting Of More Pandemic Restrictions

Premier Iain Rankin says more COVID-19 restrictions are being relaxed starting at 8:00 tomorrow morning, including some restrictions on people entering the province from Newfoundland and Labrador.

Those people will not have to self-isolate when entering Nova Scotia, though Nova Scotians travelling to Newfoundland and Labrador will still have to self-isolate there until April 19th when the Atlantic bubble is set to-reopen.

In other changes announced today, malls, retailers and fitness facilities can return to operating at a hundred percent of their capacity with physical distancing.

Sports practices, training and games, and arts and culture rehearsals and performances can have 75 people.

While physical distancing and masks are not required for those activities, they are recommended when possible.

Spectators are still allowed at those events except when they’re held at schools.
