The day of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will be marked as a holiday in Nova Scotia.
The province made the announcement this afternoon after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced earlier today the day will be marked as a federal holiday.
The funeral will be held at Westminster Abbey on Monday of next week.
Provincial government offices, schools and regulated child care will be closed on that day, but healthcare services, appointments and procedures will remain operational.
Businesses will have the choice to stay open.
