Quebec Man Arrested On Drug Charges Due In Sydney Court

A 61-year-old man from Huntington, Quebec is due in Sydney court today on drug charges after police made a traffic stop on the weekend.

 

Police say they stopped a vehicle on Highway 4 in Big Pond at noon on Sunday and seized a quantity of marihuana, hash and money.

 

The man faces charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Marihuana and Hash.

 

He’s been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre to await today’s court appearance.
