Public Health Confirms COVID-19 Case Linked To Local School

Public Health has confirmed a case of COVID-19 linked to Shipyard Elementary school in Sydney.

It says a team is now trying to find students and staff who may have been in close contact with the infected person.

Health officials say they will contact any parents whose child is considered a close contact and all of those at risk will be informed about what steps to take.

Shipyard will be closed at least until Thursday of next week to allow for cleaning and contact tracing.

Health officials say they won’t confirm the names of people infected because of privacy reasons.
