Public Consultation Sessions On CBRM Forward Start Today

The Regional Municipality is starting public consultation sessions today on the planning initiative it’s calling “CBRM Forward.”

The goal is to come up with an economic development strategy, as well as a growth management strategy for the municipality.

The consultations will also be used to help update the Municipal Planning Strategy and development bylaws.

The first sessions are taking place at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion on the Sydney waterfront from 9:00 to 11:30 this morning, and at Sydney’s Wentworth Park from 2:00 to 4:30 this afternoon.

There’s also an open house at the Cruise Pavilion from 6:00 this evening until 8:00 tonight.

Eight more daytime sessions and two more evening sessions are being held in communities across the municipality up to Saturday.
