Province To Offer Jobs To Nursing Students Upon Graduation

Nova Scotia’s nursing students will be offered jobs as soon as they graduate over the next five years.

Premier Tim Houston made the announcement in the legislature this afternoon.

The offer will apply to graduates from nursing programs at the Community College and the province’s universities.

The hiring initiative will be overseen by the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment.

The province graduates about 700 registered nurses and licenced practical nurses every year.
